This is Rice, a C3 plant. C3 Plants are those which first reduce carbon dioxide into 3 carbons before entering the Calvin Cycle. C3 plants are present where carbon dioxide levels are high and there is plenty of water available.
Amniotic Egg:
This is an egg laid by a chicken, an amniotic egg. Amniotic eggs have an embryo surrounded by amniotic fluid in an egg laid on land, characteristic of reptiles and birds.

Modified Root of a Plant:
Adaptation that occurs to ensure the plants survival in a particular environment. Here the modification took form as buttress roots, which allows the plant to pick up extra nutrients from poor soil- typically found in tropical rain forests.
Frond:
The leaf of a fern or palm, a plant found in hot and humid soil
Calvin Cycle:
All autotrophs perform the Calvin Cycle, such as grape fruit. The Calvin Cycle is a stage of photosynthesis in which carbon dioxide is converted into organic molecules, such as glucose, in the stroma of chloroplasts.
Detritivore:
A detritivore is an organism that feeds off of organic waste, from animals or plants, found in soil. Detritivores are usually insects and worms.
Taxis:
A sometimes involuntary response to an external stimulus, either going towards or moving away from the stimulus. This is a mimosa pudica, sometimes called the shy plant, which closes and slightly moves away when touched.

Animal That Has A Segmented Body
This is a cockroach, a classic example of an animal with a segmented body. Having a segmented body refers to an organism whose body is divided into different fractions based on their function.
Spore
Non sexual reproductive units for non-flowering plants, allowing plants to pass down their genes without mating. Here the spores are the yellow "spots" on the plant.
Cuticle Layer of a Plant:
A waxy protective layer over vital leaf areas. It serves to protect plants from bacteria in water or other substances.
Phloem:
Connective tissue in vascular plants that transports nutrients and food to the rest of the plant. Located in the inner bark, a layer behind the outer bark.
Genetic Variation Within Population:
Different traits within a population due to individual gene carriers, brought on by mutations to ensure diversity. Here the flowers have different phenotype, dark pink and tall, as well as orange and short.

Endosperm:
Endosperm is the tissue located within flowering plants that provides the embryo with nutrients. In Coconuts it is the edible portion.
R-Strategist:
R-strategist are species that reproduce abundantly in hopes of few reaching adulthood, they live in unstable environments and have relatively short maturation periods. Insects are common r-strategist species, such as Ants.
Rhizome:
These are the roots of a weed. Rhizomes are a plant system consisting of underground roots (reproductive structure) and stem leaves above ground, and can also store starch,
Littoral Zone Organism:
Organism inhabiting the shore area, between high water and low water. Crabs are one of the most commonly spotted shore inhabitants.
Gymnosperm Cone (Female):
Unenclosed seeds, outside of a fruit, of a vascular plant. The female gymnosperm takes in pollen and releases it as seeds.
Cambium
This is the stump of an Almond tree where one can see the cambium, the second layer behind bark. Cambium is a layer of tissue within trees which xylem and phloem divide from, and is responsible for the growth of stems and roots

Introduced Species:
Introduced Species are organisms that are not indigenous to an area or environment. Cats are originally indigenous to Asia.
Plant Adaptation:
Plantain trees are an example of plant adaptation. A plant adaptation is a characteristic or mechanism the organism uses to survive in its environment. These plants are only suited for hot weather; the tip of the plant retrieves rainfall as the waxy surface allows the water to run
